To love is to admire with the heart; to admire is to love with the mind. ~ Theophile Gautier
With the wedding season on, many people came to me asking for ideas on how to propose their partner. I decided to make their and my (mostly mine) life easier. Here are 9 ideas to propose someone:
- Picnic
Plan a special picnic date with your partner. Pack their favorite snacks in a picnic basket. You can also cook something special for them and conceal your proposal on one of the food packs. You can get a nice picnic basket from Amazon.
- Long Drive
Pre plan a little so that you can decorate the car trunk with photos, balloons, flowers, ribbons etc. Take your partner for a long drive. Reach a nice quite place and let them open the trunk to see your proposal. Just make sure they don't open the car boot before the intended destination.
I planned a similar surprise for a friend before her wedding. Read about it here. Surprise Surprise !!
If you want it easy, you can buy the car décor from Ferns n Petals. - Under the Moon and Stars
Take your partner to a place where you can get a clear view of the stars. Take a bedsheet with you. While enjoying stargazing, subtly put forward your proposal. Your Star Forever helps you name stars and dedicate stars in the sky to someone special.
